Hadleigh (/ ˈhædli /) is an ancient market town and civil parish in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England. The town is situated next to the River Brett, between the larger towns of Sudbury and Ipswich. It had a population of 8,253 at the 2011 census. [1]

Hadleigh is a quintessential market town situated near Ipswich, though being far enough to preserve its own unique character and history. Prior to the 17th century, Hadleigh was a cloth-producing community, like many of its neighbouring towns, including Long Melford, Kersey, and Lavenham.
