  2. Jan 10, 2010 · I agree it felt sad that the movie couldn't end with the two girls staying together. If Hailey couldn't stay, perhaps Claire could have gone with her to Australia. From an emotional point of view, that type of ending would have been better. HOWEVER, from a realistic point of view, the ending was better this way.
