Jun 13, 2012 · "Safety Not Guaranteed" not only has dialogue that's about something, but characters who have some depth and dimension. Kenneth is goofy and paranoid, but also smart, sincere and vulnerable. Darius is more than a wise-ass fresh college grad on her first job.
When an unusual classified ad inspires three cynical Seattle magazine employees to look for the story behind it, they discover a mysterious eccentric named Kenneth, a likable but paranoid supermarket clerk, who believes he's solved the riddle of time travel and intends to depart again soon.
Safety Not Guaranteed. A young intern at a Seattle magazine jumps at the chance to investigate Kenneth, a man who is looking for someone to travel back in time with. But the closer they become, the less clear it is if Kenneth is crazy or if he can travel through time.
