  4. I’m Peter Follansbee - for over 40 years I’ve been making furniture with hand tools. For much of that time my focus has been carved oak furniture based on 17th-century New England furniture. My first foray into furniture work was chairmaking and that still continues today.

  7. One of my favorite projects is a joined, carved chest. I’ve made over 50 of them altogether. A couple of years ago I set out to shoot a video of the process in detail. The project is a copy of a 1660s-80s chest with a drawer made in Braintree, Massachusetts.
