The most common reason that your Kwikset Smart Lock is not working is due to a problem with the Wi-Fi connection. If the connection to your Wi-Fi network is weak or intermittent, your lock may not be able to communicate with the internet and thus will not be able to lock or unlock properly.
On my Powerbolt 2, the lock cannot be locked or unlocked by the keypad. Make sure the lock is programmed with at least one User Code and that the User Codes are not disabled. If needed, restore the lock’s default settings.
