Jun 24, 2015 · There are basically 2 forms of reset: a "hard" or "cold" reset, and a "soft" or "warm" reset. Most of the time, a "soft" reset is all that's necessary, but sometimes you need to take it a bit further. I recommend trying a soft reset first, and if that doesn't work, try a hard reset.
Trouveur is actually mistaken; you absolutely can do a reset and should. It will be no problem to set up again using the ultimate fix, or worst-case if there is a Blackberry Protect issue that can be addressed as well. Reset away! (However, I would suggest using an autoloader to completely wipe the thing from the ground up.)

Choose what you want erased.
Check the boxes for each of the items that you want wiped from the phone. If you want to completely erase your information, ensure that all of the boxes are checked.
