The Blue Coat School aims to identify musicality at an early age and nurture that talent. As well as timetabled music lessons for each class, pupils can also have individual music tuition in a range of instruments and singing.

At Blue Coat School we have a large Learning Resource Centre, which at primary school is usually known as a library. The Learning Resource Centre is used by classes and groups during lessons and is available for students to enjoy in their free time.
