Saint-Maurice (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ mɔʁis] ⓘ) is a commune in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 6.8 km (4.2 mi) from the center of Paris. The lunatic asylum Charenton was located in Saint-Maurice; it is now a psychiatric hospital.
Charenton-Saint-Maurice named until 1843, the town of Saint-Maurice takes place in the department of Val-de-Marne, in the Ile-de-France region. It is located on the right bank of the Marne, bordering Paris, Charenton-le-Pont, or the Bois de Vincennes.
