- 1. CAROLINA PANTHERS (VIA CHI): QB BRYCE YOUNG, ALABAMA. It’s Bryce in the end, and it should have been Bryce all along.
- 2. HOUSTON TEXANS: EDGE WILL ANDERSON JR., ALABAMA. I think the Texans want a quarterback, but I think they’re feeling ambitious enough to have their cake (the top defensive player in the draft) at No. 2 and eat it, too (stay aggressive for a quarterback using No. 12 in a potential trade up).
- 3. ARIZONA CARDINALS: OT PARIS JOHNSON JR., OHIO STATE. Things have been heating up behind the scenes for Arizona to take Johnson as the top offensive tackle in the class at No. 3.
- Carolina Panthers: QB Bryce Young, Alabama. With back-to-back seasons of elite grades, Bryce Young showed he was the best player in college football over the past two years.
- Houston Texans: QB Anthony Richardson, Florida. Go big or go home. Richardson provides elite traits and tools at quarterback and is a much more polished prospect in the pocket than many would make you believe.
- Tennessee Titans (VIA ARZ): QB C.J. Stroud, Ohio State. The Titans send Pick Nos. 11 and 41 and a 2024 second-rounder to the Cardinals in exchange for Pick Nos.
- Indianapolis Colts: QB Will Levis, Kentucky. With the Titans trading up ahead of Indianapolis for the third pick, the Colts are left with either taking a risk on Levis or entering 2023 with Gardner Minshew as their starter.
- Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State. It went under the radar a bit, but Fox’s Jay Glazer casually dropped a nugget a few weeks ago that Arizona wants to build around Kyler Murray.
- Chicago Bears (From CAR): Caleb Williams, QB, USC. I don’t believe for one second that Justin Fields is the problem in Chicago, but wholesale changes across a coaching staff usually lead to a QB change as well.
- Chicago Bears: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama. The Bears’ defense got a boost by adding Montez Sweat, but more help is needed. The unit lacks an identity, but the foundation is starting to come together with Sweat, Jaylon Johnson, and Tremaine Edmunds.
- New York Giants: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina. The Giants would hit the jackpot by landing Drake Maye, even if it takes a trade-up. Paying Daniel Jones was a mistake in the moment, so taking the opportunity to grab a true franchise QB in Maye is a reward for a bad decision.
