However, you can eventually restore the data and settings from a backup you made before the device was disabled, or if you were using iCloud to sync data.
If you don't need your data, put it into DFU mode (google) and restore in iTunes. If you do need the data, check the firmware version with TinyUmbrella and then jailbreak it and extract data or remove the passcode lock (I think you can on a 3G, on a 3GS it's encrypted).
