May 2, 2024 · A hard reset is a restart of your iPhone 11 that doesn’t erase any of your data or settings. Think of it as a refresh. A factory reset, on the other hand, wipes your iPhone clean, restoring it to its original settings and erasing all your data.
If you want to save your settings, back up iPhone before resetting it. For example, if you’re trying to solve a problem but resetting iPhone doesn’t help, you might want to restore your previous settings from a backup. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset.
