Yale Children’s Theater is an undergraduate community service organization sharing theater with young people in Greater New Haven. We have on-campus and touring productions, an improvisation troupe, and weekly acting workshops.

The month-long program begins in late May, culminating in fully produced plays performed by the Yale mentors and presented virtually for the New Haven community in late June. Dwight/Edgewood Project is supported by the Robert and Mercedes Eichholz Foundation and the Esme Usdan Community Youth Fund.
Yale Children’s Theater is a community service group at Yale which performs for children in the greater New Haven area. Our shows are written and directed by Yale students, and are typically adaptations of familiar children’s stories.
The Yale Children’s Theater produces four student-written shows each year, offers drama workshops and writing workshops for local students, and performs throughout the New Haven community. Programming reaches hundreds of students per year.
