On November 14, 2023, Sony Pictures Entertainment unveiled the new logo of Columbia Pictures to commemorate its 100th anniversary in January 10, 2024. It reveals the animated logo based on Deas' original painting, where the torch has an enhanced glow to symbolize the vibrancy of the studio's history.
The Columbia logo's overhaul came about when Sony (who bought Columbia Pictures in 1989) commissioned illustrator Michael J. Deas to paint a new version of the Torch Lady, marking the first major change to the lady's design since 1936.
