He’s been with The Revelators just as long. Nicholas’ guitar solo work can be heard on the track “Jazz that Funk” on Mark Adams’ debut album “Asceticism.” Nicholas is also currently with Lady Picture Show, a N.Y.C. based female-fronted Stone Temple Pilots tribute band and Cover2Cover, a Long Island based party rock band.
Touch the 80s isn’t your typical tribute band. Initially created as a side project for The Touch - one of Long Island’s most enduring cover bands, Touch the 80s has turned back the clock to a time when New Wave music really was new. When WLIR and WDRE led the New Music Revolution at 92.7 MHz!
A graduate of Five Towns College, Jim plays the piano styles and riffs of Billy Powell like no one else. Close your eyes and you would swear Billy was right in front of you. In addition, Jim has performed with many other top long Island Southern Rock tribute bands such as Mountain Jam Orchestra, Seven Turns and The Trouble No More Band.
Our Vision. The Mutant Kings were created from the play Bridge The Gap – a story about getting the old band back together. After playing in two Long Island Theatres fans were calling for the fictional band to become a real band!! And in 2019 this became reality and now the band plays over 50 gigs per year!
