May 29, 2022 · Michael Shawn’s review published on Letterboxd: I'm loving the Michael Shayne pictures from Poverty Row, just as much as the 20th Century Fox ones. They're grittier and maybe more realistic, and Hugh Beaumont gives Shayne more of a noir detective feel while still maintaining a light tone.
