Torgau is a regular stop for Elbe river cruises, which because of river conditions in dry weather can mean a coach trip with nights on board the boat. Torgau is roughly halfway between Meissen and Lutherstadt Wittenberg, where Martin Luther set the Reformation in motion in 1517.
