900 Series To check the valve timing Operation 8-2 1 Check and, if necessary, adjust the valve tip clearances, see Operation 3-6. 2 Set number 1 cylinder to TDC on the compression stroke. 3 Make a mark on the crankshaft pulley. Fit a suitable pointer to the timing case cover to align with the mark on the pulley.

Oct 17, 2015 · Was wondering if any Lotus historians can help confirm a piece of info regarding the Lotus 900 Series engines? Remember reading an article a while back on the development of the Lotus 900 Series engines where before settling on the 2.0 907, a 1.6 or 1.8 unit was proposed and rejected by Colin Chapman though cannot seem to find any information confirming a proposed sub-2.0 900 Series engine.
