- Mausoleum was made in 1983 but it feels like it was made in 1978, and that only adds to its appeal. It's really one of the best examples of a film that perfectly abridges the most cherished elements of late 70's horror with early 80's horror in a heavily stylish, free-flowing manner.

Mausoleum (1983) is a classic horror gem I recently watched for free on Tubi. The movie focuses on a woman who had a demon take over her body as a girl; and now that she's a woman, the demon begins using his vessel for his own devious plans.
Mausoleum: Directed by Michael Dugan. With Marjoe Gortner, Bobbie Bresee, Norman Burton, Maurice Sherbanee. 10-year-old Susan Walker, mourning her mother's death, is possessed by a demon who has been preying on her female ancestors for centuries.

Dec 16, 2023 · Mausoleum is no different – the transfer is mostly excellent, the physical package is first rate and the plentiful extras are insightful, informative and entertaining. It’s a brilliant release of an entertaining slice of horror.

Mausoleum is, in several ways, typical ‘80s horror film fare. It’s a mix of gore, nudity, naff optical effects, and a goofy demon (with additional bitey nipples this time!). It might not always hit the mark, being fairly pedestrian in its pace, but it has plenty to recommend.
