I recently got a call from scammers making me check my event log for errors etc. They got me to go to logmein123.com and enter the last 6 digits of my product ID, which I did, then received a message saying that the code did not exist and to talk to my service provider.
Jul 16, 2023 · The fake LogMeIn ‘Security Update’ email scam is a phishing attempt that targets users of the popular remote desktop software. Cybercriminals send fraudulent emails posing as LogMeIn and trick victims into entering their login credentials on fake websites.
Long story short: it looks like I have been scammed, and there is no easy way of closing my account or finding out what has happened, as LMI seems to have made a policy choice to make it as difficult as possible to contact their support team. Date of experience: June 26, 2024. Useful.

Nov 4, 2020 · Based on reports to Which?, TeamViewer is the brand of remote access software reported as being misused by scammers most often, although others include AnyDesk, LogMeIn and GoToAssist.
Here's how to recognize a scam message: Valid links in our emails most commonly point to logmein.com, logmeinrescue.com, or goto.com. If the destination is different, the message is most likely fake. Hover your mouse pointer over the link for a couple of seconds.
