    • WebTorrent. For the name alone we have to start with WebTorrent, which was specifically created to integrate BitTorrent with the browser. The technology impressed Netflix and there are dozens of projects that use the code to make it easy for people to share files in a browser.
    • uTorrent and BitTorrent Web. For more than a decade, uTorrent and BitTorrent were standalone applications with no connection to the browser. That changed recently.
    • Seedr. Seedr‘s tagline is “get stuff instantly.” It is a browser-based service where you can add torrents which will then be downloaded through Seedr’s servers.
    • Cloud downloaders. Seedr introduces us to a vast array of cloud downloading services. Put.io, for example, which has been around for over a decade.     • Look for torrents with a high seed : leach ratio for fastest downloads. The more seeds per leech, the better. Torrents with few seeds - regardless the of seeds : leech ratio - will take longer to download.
    • Check the format of the torrent. Look for torrents with file types that you are more familiar with. If you are not familiar with any of them, spend a few minutes reviewing file types such as MKV, RAR, SHN, ZIP etc. in order to figure out how to open and extract them.

Even more, it packs additional features such as RSS feed support, extensions (magnet links, DHT, PEX, LSD, private torrents, encrypted connections), sequential downloading, bandwidth scheduler, IP filtering, and is compatible with Windows, Linus, macOS, FreeBSD, and OS/2.
    • Deluge. One of the oldest torrent clients developed, Deluge is still a heavy favorite among users. In fact, I’ve had no issues running it with my old laptop when I re-installed the software.
    • µTorrent. µTorrent (or uTorrent) is one of the most popular torrent clients available today. Users can search torrents and downloads easily, stream torrent files and magnet links, set download and upload speed limits, add more bandwidth to specific downloads, verify the total seeds available, and customize the application.
    • Vuze. This torrent downloader was designed for advanced users who want software with powerful search capabilities. Coming from the original Azureus software, Vuze features media and device playback, magnet link support, access to its torrent bundles and plug-in library, and remote control via web or mobile app.
    • Downloading Torrents: Use torrent files to download files shared by other users. Torrent files are small files that tell your computer how to connect to other computers sharing the file you want to download.
    • Playing Torrents: Find your downloaded file. You'll be able to find your finished downloads in the folder you set earlier. If you didn't change the destination folder, you'll usually find the finished files in your Downloads folder.
    • Troubleshooting: Search online for information about specific file extensions. If you downloaded a file from a torrent and you can't figure out how to open it, perform a search for the extension using your favorite online search engine.
