Into the Storm is the 7th MotorFlix season and the 12th post-release update for The Crew 2. Succeeding the Dominion Forsberg update, it was revealed on November 9, 2022 and released on November 16, 2022 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia with compatibility for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This was the last update available on Google Stadia before the platform was discontinued.
The theme of the update focuses on a new MotorFlix season consisting of two episodes: Into the Storm and Blizzard Rush, where racers are invited to partake in an unsanctioned, illegal racing event through the Midwest, Mountain States and select northern areas of the map. The new season events saw the addition of extreme weather elements that affected the handling of the vehicles.

After Google had announced on September 29, 2022 that Stadia services would be shutting down, Ubisoft informed players on the day of the update's launch that those who played on Stadia would be able to continue so until January 18, 2023. Effective at the update's launch, Stadia players could no longer purchase crew credits, Season Pass, and the new starter packs (Mazda RX-8 Pearl Edition Starter Pack, Porsche Cayman GT4 Carbon Edition Starter Pack).
Player data could not be transferred over to PC since The Crew 2 released before the launch of Ubisoft Connect in October 2020 and therefore does not support cross-platform or cross-progression features. To compensate, any Ubisoft games that players owned in their Stadia library were added to their Ubisoft Connect library for free.
