70mm 3D film had 1.78 aspect ratio, so did the Bluray release but imax digital release was 1.90 and 2K because imax with laser wasn't a thing until 2014. Standard shots in Tron Legacy are 2.39:1 and the expanded shots were either 1.90:1 for digital IMAX or 1.70:1 for 70mm prints.

I assume this IMAX is the big-screen 70mm IMAX. How do you think the digital IMAX theaters on smaller (but still big) screens compare? I believe they use two 2K projectors that overlap, making it close to, but not quite the same as, 4K.
