Hareid is the administrative centre of Hareid Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located on the eastern coast of the island of Hareidlandet, along the Sulafjorden. The village has a shopping center, some industry, a hotel, and Hareid Church.
Along the river and the lake there is a gravel hiking trail, called Rotarystien. From the fjord to the end at Kaldholen it is about 5 kilometers. You can walk or cycle the whole trip, or do a jump in several other places. At Røysetvegen, a new car park has been made.
