The Last Picture Show is the eighteenth episode of season eleven of the NBC series Cheers.
The guys head to the old drive-in movie theater for one last flick before it is to be torn down. Cheers' former owner, Gus, returns and runs the bar for one night.
•In this episode Sam claims to have bought the bar from Gus (guest star Pat Hingle). However in the second episode of the very first season, Norm says Gus was "two owners ago" indicating there was an owner of Cheers between Gus and Sam.
•During a conversation about an actress in the Godzilla series, Woody asks, "Why would an actress leave right in the middle of a successful series?" This is a reference to Shelley Long, who left Cheers six years earlier.
