The Marina Dalglish Centre is a cancer treatment unit run by The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Aintree University Hospital. It offers chemotherapy and other drug treatments, as well as complementary therapy areas, and is part of Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Dalglish's wife Marina was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2003, but was treated at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool and recovered. She later launched a charity to fund new cancer treatment equipment for UK hospitals.
