    Maya Vie was a recurring character in the second and sixth seasons. She was portrayed by cast member Eve Harlow and debuted in "The 48".

    Maya worked in the medical section of Mount Weather and also worked in the Mount Weather decontamination unit. Her knowledge of the facility and willingness to help the delinquents kept the majority of them safe and alive inside the mountain during their revolt.

    Maya was born on Earth, and lived with her father, Vincent Vie, in Mount Weather. When she was young, both her parents were part of a resistance movement within Mount Weather that refused the blood treatments from Grounders, resulting in her mother's death. After her mother's death, her father decided to continue accepting the blood treatments because Maya was too young to be left alone.

    Maya worked in the Medical Ward of Mount Weather and also assisted with quarantine breaches and decontamination.

    Maya is determined with a gentle soul, willing to help anyone in need. She has a revolutionary spark inside of her, which she got from her mother, which had been hidden by the caution she got from her father. She is very quick to forgive, accepting Clarke as an ally even after the former took her hostage, and forgives Clarke and Bellamy for killing...

    Maya has shoulder length dark, wavy hair and olive skin. She is 5'6 (1,70 m) and has a medium physique.

    Jasper Jordan

    She takes an immediate liking to Jasper when she first meets him in "The 48". She offers him a piece of her cake and flirts with him. In "'Human Trials", Jasper saves her life with a blood transfusion after there is a radiation breach. In "Fog of War", Maya shows Monty and Jasper the Harvest Chamber and cries because she is afraid that they are next. When on a mission in "Remember Me"' Jasper kisses Maya to confuse the guards tracking them down. Maya is used as blackmail for Cage Wallace in "Resurrection" as he knows how much Maya means to Jasper. In "Blood Must Have Blood (Part 2)", Jasper confesses his love for Maya and they kiss again. Later in the episode when Level 5 has been irradiated, Maya dies of radiation exposure in Jasper's arms.

    Bellamy Blake

    Bellamy and Maya first meet in Season Two's "Coup de Grâce", when Maya saves Bellamy from the Harvest Chamber. She becomes Bellamy's guide through Mount Weather and helps him establish radio contact with Camp Jaha. In "Resurrection," Maya introduces Bellamy to her father, Vincent Vie, who agrees to help Bellamy rescue the Delinquents. Later, in "Blood Must Have Blood (Part 1)", Maya discovers her father dead and Bellamy finds his Grounder army within Mount Weather has been freed. She leaves Bellamy with Clarke and Monty in "Blood Must Have Blood (Part 2)" because she is running out of oxygen and Jasper and Bellamy's sister, Octavia, go with her to get her safely to Level 5. She and Octavia eventually get caught by the Mountain Men and Bellamy is left with the difficult choice of saving his sister by irradiating Level 5 with Clarke, killing Maya and all of the remaining Mountain Men.

    Clarke Griffin

    Maya and Clarke start off on the wrong foot but end up as somewhat allies. In "The 48", both threaten to kill each other; Maya threatens to shoot Clarke, and Clarke threatens Maya with a piece of broken glass. In "Blood Must Have Blood (Part 2)", they meet again and Clarke thanks her for helping Bellamy Blake infiltrate Mount Weather. Later on, Clarke irradiates Level 5, killing Maya in the process. Clarke is shown to be saddened by Maya's death. Later in her mindspace, Clarke sees a hallucination of Maya, showing she is still affected by her death.

    •She might be loosely based on Sasha, the daughter of the president of Mount Weather in the books.

    •In "The 48", Maya said she had a Vitamin D treatment. Vitamin D is necessary for normal bone density and is naturally created by the skin when exposed to the sun.

    •In "Reapercussions", Maya shows Jasper her favorite painting, William Blake's The Lovers' Whirlwind, which illustrates the second level of Hell from Dante's •Her actress, Eve Harlow, was credited in the episode "Long Into an Abyss", however Maya did not appear. Meaning that it's possible that Maya was meant to appear in the episode.

    •Maya's mother was part of a movement to stop Mount Weather from kidnapping Grounders. She died of radiation exposure due to refusing the treatments of Grounder blood.
