When Yamaha first launched its radical, leaning, three-wheeler Niken as based on the Tracer 900 in 2018, it’s fair to say that, although an admirable engineering feat and genuinely impressive dynamically, it wasn’t a huge commercial success.

Apr 7, 2019 · When compared with the Tracer 900GT, (basically the Niken’s two-wheeled sibling) you must exaggerate your counter steering and turn in earlier than you normally would. In Japanese, “Ni” means “Two” and “Ken” means “Sword,” but these two swords aren’t perfectly sharp.
Jan 31, 2024 · With 42 cc more than its predecessor, the new Yamaha Niken GT now has its maximum torque 1,500 rpm earlier, providing better acceleration. However, due to its 270 kg in running order, we felt that this bike should benefit from more torque in the mid-range – even in Sport mode – even without changing the maximum power.
