   Dec 11, 2017 · Binoculars need lens hoods to prevent ambient glare from entering the objectives. Also, at my dewy observing sites, absence of lens hoods would mean dew on the objectives within an hour or less. As soon as I acquire lens hoods for the 18x50's, they will no longer fit in the soft Canon case.

   May 29, 2014 · Polarizing binoculars (filter attached) and eyestrain. Anyone have experience with polarizing both objectives on their binocuclars with rotating filters? I am finding it a little bit straining since a collimation issue arises when the filters are out of alignment.
