Wyllis Cooper 01.26.1899 - 06.22.1955 (56 years old) Wyllis Cooper was a producer and actor born in Illinois who is most remembered for his radio programs Quiet, Please and Lights Out. Also, he penned the screenplay of 1939 film Son of Frankenstein along with Mary Shelley.
He survived gas attacks with the American Expeditionary Force (AEF), fought in the Argonne Offensive and served in Europe into 1919. After leaving the service, Cooper tried his hand at journalism and advertising, among other things, before finding his calling in radio in Chicago in 1928.
