After more than a century of dedicated service to early childhood education through the legacy of Southside Learning and Development Center, SproutFive announced today that it will cease operations effective June 30, 2024.
We provide education to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, the most critical period of a person’s life, through year-round, all-day programming and home visiting. By providing accessible care to families, we reduce financial and professional barriers to overcoming poverty.
Our early learning centers are the cornerstone of the work we do. We serve children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years at our five child care facilities in the Near East and Linden neighborhoods of Columbus.
Home-visitation or center-based education and advocacy programs provide important information to family members on the early developmental needs of their child. For children and families that have experienced trauma and toxic stresses, mental and behavioral health, and counselling services are necessary.

Columbus State’s new child care center will set a new standard for early childhood education while adding badly needed care capacity.
