Born in Surrey, England in March of 1945, Eric Clapton received his first guitar at age 13. He developed a love for blues music early on, an affinity that would play a major role in his biography. He joined his first band at 17, and soon his guitar playing was drawing attention from far and wide.
Though his prolific career Paulinho has been involved with some of the decade's best selling projects, including the record breaking 'Thriller', the landmark recording 'We Are The World' and the percussion dominated successes of 'All Night Long' and 'La Isla Bonita'.
Following Cream’s break-up, Clapton founded Blind Faith - rock’s first “supergroup” - with Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker, and Rick Grech. Disbanding after one album and a disastrous American tour, Eric tried to hide from his growing fame by touring as a sideman with Delaney & Bonnie & Friends.
