Furtherwick Park School was a comprehensive co-educational senior school for 11- to 16-year-olds, located on Canvey Island. The school was based in the town centre and opened in 1957 due to the increase of population on Canvey Island.

Furtherwick Park School was opened in 1957 due to the need for more schools following the increase in pupil numbers. The school is to close in 2011 due they say to the decrease in pupil numbers on the Island.

Welcome to Furtherwick Park School. We are a successful 11-16 mixed Secondary with student numbers of around 600, located in the heart of our community on a generous site with excellent sporting facilities.
Furtherwick Park School. July 2010 saw the beginning of the end of Furtherwick Park School as we witnessed the contractors moving in to start clearing the site for demolition and rebuilding. Furtherwick Park School has been on the site for over 50 years.
