He also starred at Notre Dame, where he helped the Fighting Irish win a national championship in 1988, and became a math teacher after retiring from football.
Ricky Watters played 10 seasons for the 49ers, Seahawks and Eagles, and had 2,622 carries, 467 catches and 91 touchdowns. He was a 5-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl champion with the 49ers in 1994.
