David Hattersley Warner (29 July 1941 – 24 July 2022) was an English actor who worked in film, television and theatre. Warner's lanky, often haggard appearance lent itself to a variety of villainous characters as well as more sympathetic roles across stage and screen.
David Warner is a left-handed opening batter who played for Australia in all three formats until 2024. He was involved in the Newlands ball-tampering scandal in 2018 and had a prolific IPL career with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.
