SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec. 14 (UPI) Richard Whorf, the stage, screen and television actor and director, died of a heart attack at St. John's Hospital here today. He was 60 years old.
Richard Whorf was an American actor, director, and painter. He appeared in movies such as Yankee Doodle Dandy and directed TV shows such as The Beverly Hillbillies and The Wild Wild West.
Richard Whorf was a director and actor, known for Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942), Blues in the Night (1941) and The Beverly Hillbillies (1962). He was also the brother of linguist Benjamin Whorf and a Tony Award winner for costume design.
