David Joseph Blair [1] CBE (born 1973 in Malawi to British parents [citation needed]) is the Chief Foreign Correspondent for The Daily Telegraph, having formerly worked for the Financial Times as Energy Correspondent, and The Daily Telegraph as a Foreign Correspondent and then Diplomatic Editor.
Shortly after calling, David was appointed as a Standing Junior to the Advocate General for Scotland. In that role he provides advice and representation to the UK Government across a wide range of public law disputes, including those involving complex issues in relation to human rights.
David is one of the UK's most prolific and respected directors, working extensively in both TV and features. He won BAFTAs for his 6-part TV series, Takin' Over The Asylum, a show he commissioned - a first-starring role for David Tennant - and another for The Street, starring Timothy Spall.
