I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 that is locked out of all functions, can't change settings, cannot connect to wifi, can't go into settings. Therefore i decided to try and factory reset it so i can provision it again.
And I cannot select reset from settings, because my mobile is permantely stuck doing an update loop so I never have a chance to enter settings to select a reset there. I even tried downloading some software recommended on youtube, but Norton AV removes them saying they are malware.

Does this mean you can't access the menu or that the factory reset option isn't there? A solution I found from the internet if you can't access the recovery menu is: Connect the tablet to a Windows PC with a USB cable while the PC and tablet are powered on
