The phone is now in a weird state where it does not turn on and if I hold down the power button continuously the red light will appear for a second then go away and come back every 5 seconds or so if I keep the power button down.

I do a hard reset the phone comes back on and is fully charged. The bad part is nothing on my phone will work when it goes black.
