Uninstall MC completely, including the Registry entries. Leave the Library in place. The Windows uninstaller works fine. 3. Reboot then reinstall MC26.

This resets the operational parameters of the switcher to OOTB, but will doubtfully do anything for the USB connection. Your issue is likely a bad cable, privacy settings, or bad drivers in Windows.
