We are using iCloud Family for Photos, Shared Library, etc. The total amount of files currently is taking up around 500gb for both of us. I would like to have a hardware backup of the photos/documents and other things, the problem is, I don't have enough space on neither of the devices to download it onto the device first and create a backup.

I’m currently backing up two devices that, together, take up about 43GB. In the overview, it says 72 GB, and that number is reflected on the overall iCloud storage size.
