Feb 20, 2023 · Uni of Surrey vs Uni of Kent. A. Vishesh2005. 2. Hi, Im an international applicant, and I have received offers from both Surrey (for Law with Tech) and Kent (Law with Management). I am confused between the two for my firm choice, as Surrey is ranked way higher in overall rankings, and has one of the highest graduate prospects in UK.
However, beyond mindless repetitive clubbing, the social side is pretty dead. Nothing ever changes here, and the town is much more designed to be for commuters and older-rich people than for students. Unless your really active in a society (which are limited in number), there's not even too much to do on campus.

Furthermore, Reading's accomodation is so much nicer and more modern. Another decision I would have to make with Surrey is whether to choose off campus (Manor Park) or on campus accomodation - you can't choose which halls you would be in unfortunately, only the 'band' of accomodation (I would choose band D, ensuite).
Accommodation - 8. I live on manor park, huge rooms, not many people and new (though perhaps rather expensive next year!) On campus accommodation is generally good as well. Sports - 9. Surrey sports park is amazing. Say no more. (-1 as courts often get booked up by the county's netball and basketball etc team matches)
