Sep 1, 2024 · Lee Harvey Oswald or John Wilkes Booth did not exactly hold constitutional offices in the USA. A military acting against the government with groups of officers who have sworn to uphold the Constitution is very different from a lone gunman.
Nov 22, 2011 · Personally, I subscribe to the House Select Committee on Assassinations' findings that JFK was assassinated as a result of a conspiracy between Lee Harvey Oswald and persons unknown. This is a very different view to most people who usually tend to fall into one of two categories: 1. The Lone Gunman or 2. The Usual Suspects.

In Iraq, the Republican Guards served this function for Saddam. In Iran, the Revolutionary Guards does the same.
