  2. Dec 22, 2013. #24. I went to the Sacred Heart School from about 1960 to 1966. I was baptised and confirmed at the Sacred Heart Church. Indeed I also remember Father Crean who as kids - frighted us! Before I left the area I also remember Father Butler who was a calm and nice man.

Oct 6, 2014 · Great information on Great Hampton Street, noticed you have a photo of Great Hampton Street/ Corner of Vyse Street c 1899 showing the premises of John Glew and Co Ltd who was my partners Great Great Great Uncle. The business was started in 1859 on your post you have it down as John Glew who married Tamar Carroll in 1882 but he was the son.

The 1912 electoral roll lists 23 Aston Road as a dwelling house occupied by John Harper. 1920 and 1925 give no indication but, in 1930, that address is listed as The General Wolfe. By 1935, it had been renamed The Albion Hotel. edit: It was The General Wolfe whilst your John Harper was there, as shown in Kelly's 1912.

  10. I am looking for people who have any information or photos surrounding Ford Street back in the 1950s/1960s. I'm on here on behalf of my grandad whose name is Bernard O'Carroll. He used to live on Ford Street with his brother Rodger O'Carroll and their mother Violet O'Carroll. My grandad said that they lived there for about 27 years before moving.
