Since March 2000, it has been a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro and operates services under contract to Transport for London. Operations are split between two registered companies, Metroline Travel Limited and Metroline West Limited.
A planning application was submitted by Metroline in 2022 for the building of a new Brentford garage on the site of the current garage, capable of housing over 100 buses. Construction commenced shortly afterwards, with the new building planned to open in 2024.
