The VIP day is a whole day experience taking place mid-week providing you with the most relaxed look over the aircraft and the chance to talk Lancasters with the crew and other like-minded people for the whole day. The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre is a privately owned and run Museum and was set up by two farming brothers, Fred and Harold Panton. It has been built up as a memorial to Bomber Command and primarily as a tribute to their eldest brother Christopher Witton Panton; who was shot down and killed on a bombing raid over Nuremberg on 30/31 March 1944.
You are welcome to come to spend the whole day at the Centre. This experience lasts around 45 minutes. A typical schedule for a Lancaster Taxy Ride Experience. Our standard tail down taxy rides are usually on Public Holidays and some Saturdays. You enjoy the only chance in Europe to be inside a Lancaster Bomber with all 4 Merlins running.

The Centre is home to Lancaster NX611 and a museum based on a WWII airfield with original control tower, Escaping Society museum, Home Front exhibition, Hampden restoration project, memorial chapel and many memorabilia exhibitions. The Centre is open Mon-Sat. Closed Sundays.
