6 days ago · Re: OT - That Thing You Do! (best music movie) just remembered another really great one called "The Five Heartbeats" about a "Temptations" type of band. I also liked a couple of Beach Boys movies I saw around the 1990's. Kevin Dunn killed it as Murry in one of them.

6 days ago · Stardust (1974) Mostly British actors and some musicians including Keith Moon, David Essex and Adam Faith. It was a follow on from a 1973 film called That'll Be The Day. Although Fiction, I am pretty sure it's story is quite close to the reality of what has happened to a lot of megastars that came after it was made and probably a lot still to come.
