Sometimes hotspots or at least hotspot settings, encourage or set up data saver features, or their own port blocking (anti social media, anti-streaming, similar verbiage). Your provider might be blocking ports. That'd surprise me, though. Okay, I'll try that. I also tried a regular VPN but didn't work either.
Nov 11, 2020 · I connect my phone to my Mac via cable and connect the hotspot this way, then enable the Mac as a wifi hotspot. Connect the xbox to what it thinks is the Macs connection. using this method i had 0 dropouts in over 8 hours. Im guessing because the cable method of hotspot stays permantly connected.
Jun 30, 2017 · If not, please let us know the model no. of the windows phone you are using, and make sure that you have not selected 5 ghz as the wireless band and are using 2.4 ghz instead as most of the windows phone doesnt uses 5 ghz band yet.
