I own a Z30, and have not realized that BlackBerry Protect was still activated when the servers shut down. I am unable to wipe the device using the standard procedure.

Hard resetting the Blackberry can be achieved by entering in the unlock password incorrectly more than 10 times. After doing this the phone will ask you to type in the word ‘blackberry’ and click OK. The phone will then proceed to wipe itself of all existing data.
