Jan 4, 2019 · I’ve found that if I follow the instructions by placing the extender roughly halfway between the router and the device I only get a very slight boost to the signal. However, by placing it much closer to the device, I get a far stronger signal, even though the router light is red. Anyway, thanks again for your helpful response.

Use the end of a paper clip or a similar object to press and hold the Reset button located on the back of the Orbi for at least seven seconds. The Orbi resets and returns to the factory settings.
