"Blue Jasmine" is a rich, sophisticated, funny, tragic film. It is a must for any Woody Allen fan and any serious film-goer. Definitely one of 2013's best, and Blanchett rightly received the Best Actress Oscar.

  6. Woody Allen is back on track with this film, a wonderful vehicle for Cate Blanchett and an opportunity for other good actors like Sally Hawkins to shine. Thoroughly enjoyable, Sally Hawkins as the plainer, more 'ordinary' sister to Jasmine, coming down to earth after a wealthy lifestyle ruined by a spoiled marriage to a corrupt fraudster, played to perfection by Alec Baldwin.
